I use word charts as another educational learning center. I make them for special themes and encourage the children to look at the letters they recognize, to figure out the ones they don't know yet and to match the pictures (stickers) to the words. I always provide paper and various writing/drawing utensils for them to practice writing the words or draw a picture of one on ALL of the words!
